Sources & Evidence Standards
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
Our mission is to provide oncology information that is accurate, transparent, evidence-based, and updated regularly.
1. Primary Evidence Sources
We rely exclusively on authoritative databases and peer-reviewed literature, including:
Regulatory & Government Sources
- FDA Drug Labels & Approval Documents
- NCI PDQ
- CDC Cancer Statistics
- SEER Program (Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results)
Clinical Guidelines
- NCCN (citation only; no reproduction)
- ASCO / ESMO summaries
Clinical Trials
- ClinicalTrials.gov
- WHO ICTRP
- Trial publications in peer-reviewed journals
Genomic & Precision Oncology Databases
- OncoKB
- ClinVar
- COSMIC
- cBioPortal
- TCGA datasets
Peer-Reviewed Literature
- PubMed
- PubMed Central (PMC)
- Google Scholar (with filtering)
2. Evidence Hierarchy
We classify evidence into tiers:
Tier 1 — Highest Strength
- •FDA-approved indications
- •NCCN Category 1 or 2A references
- •OncoKB Level 1 actionable biomarkers
Tier 2 — Strong Evidence
- •Phase II/III clinical trials
- •Systematic reviews or meta-analyses
Tier 3 — Emerging Evidence
- •Early-phase trials
- •Mechanistic or exploratory findings
Content never exceeds the limitations of the evidence tier.
3. Transparency of Citations
Every major statement includes:
PubMed IDs
FDA label links
NCT numbers
SEER references
OncoKB / ClinVar identifiers
We do not paraphrase or modify core scientific facts.
4. Update Standards
- Each page displays "Last Updated"
- Pages older than 6 months are flagged automatically
We update content when:
- →A new FDA approval occurs
- →Major study results change practice
- →A new biomarker classification changes interpretation
5. What We Do NOT Do
We do not:
- ✗Provide medical advice
- ✗Recommend therapies
- ✗Predict patient outcomes
- ✗Replace clinical judgment
- ✗Copy proprietary guidelines (e.g., NCCN text)
Our Promise
We commit to:
Rigor
Transparency
Integrity
Evidence-based accuracy
Respect for clinical nuance
